Tokyo-based producer and DJ KΣITO has spent more than 15 years exploring the outer edges of electronic music, drawing on juke/footwork, South African gqom, Japanese gorge, techno, and beyond. Known for his visceral live sets and virtuoso finger-drumming, he is the founder of TYO GQOM and USI KUVO Records and has released music on labels in Japan and abroad.

Tama Tsuboi and Kai Petite have been part of the This&That family since the very beginning, with more appearances between them than just about anyone in the event’s history. Longtime friends and collaborators, Tama is the vocalist and guitarist of SHAMANZ, while Kai is a multi-instrumentalist equally at home on bass and guitar. For Vol. 50, they come together again for a special session celebrating 16 years of music, friendship, and This&That.

Fukuoka-born, Tokyo-based vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and music producer. A graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts, Alex is the vocalist/guitarist and a principal songwriter of Garanbo (formerly The Bagpipes), whose roots in 1970s folk rock and pop have taken them from Tokyo’s live-house scene to FUJI ROCK’s ROOKIE A GO-GO. Alongside performing, he works across songwriting, composition, arranging, recording, and mixing for a range of artists and commercial projects.

One of the artists selected for the Pentel × Mural Rookies Project, Sakura Tona created a new mural for BnA_WALL. Alongside her work as a visual artist, she is also expanding her practice as a DJ. At This & That Vol. 50, she will close out the event with the final DJ set.

One of this year’s Pentel × Mural Rookies Project artists, Kurara Abe created a new work for the construction hoarding in Nihonbashi. In addition to her work as a visual artist, she’ll join This&That Vol.50 with a live drawing performance as VJ.
